Good afternoon, fellow Ducatisti…

Some people will spend this Sunday mowing lawns, wandering around Bunnings, or arguing over curtain colours.

We won’t.

Instead, we’ll be unleashing a convoy of glorious Italian engineering across some of the best roads the Perth Hills and Wheatbelt have to offer.

The weather forecast? 20°C, blue skies and sunshine. In other words, Mother Nature has cancelled winter… at least until about 9am, so wear something warm before your fingers freeze to the grips.

We’ll assemble at Ampol Foodary Stratton, with a rider briefing at 8:45am and stands up at exactly 9:00am. Not 9:01. Not “just waiting for Davo to finish his servo pie.” 0900.

From there we’ll head up Toodyay Road, before disappearing onto a collection of twisty back roads, forgotten lanes and hidden gems that many riders don’t even know exist. Where exactly?

That’s classified.

If I told you, I’d have to make you ride a Harley…

The ride is around 215 km, with a coffee and fuel stop along the way before carving through the magnificent Chittering Valley. Our destination? A cracking old lunch spot near Upper Swan, where cold beverages await those who successfully complete the mission.

As always…

DO NOT LOSE THE RIDER BEHIND YOU.

This route contains enough twists and turns to confuse a GPS and enough back roads that if you miss one corner, you’ll probably emerge somewhere near Kalgoorlie.

Meanwhile, the rest of us will be sitting in the sunshine with an icy drink, telling stories about the bloke who ignored the corner-marking system.

Don’t be that bloke.

Members, visitors, Ducati tragics and anyone with petrol flowing through their veins are all welcome.

So polish the red paint, check your tyre pressures, top up the fuel, and remind the neighbours what a proper Italian V-twin sounds like.

Because life’s too short to spend perfect riding weather indoors.
