History and Objectives
The Ducati Owners Club of Western Australia (DOCWA) is a not-for-profit organisation and was founded in 1976 by a small committed and passionate group of Ducatisti.
We are one of the world’s longest established Ducati Owners clubs and second oldest Ducati Club in Australia. Our members own and ride Ducati engined motorcycles ranging from the early single cylinder engines of the 50’s and 60’s, through the 70’s and 80’s venerable L-twin Bevels, the 90’s that saw the emergence of the iconic 916 and Monster to the current range of sports, urban, adventure touring and cruisers that continue to define and shape the markets in which they compete.
The core objectives of DOCWA are to:
- Promote and encourage motorcycling and to promote the name, reputation and mystique of Ducati-engined motorcycles.
- Organise and conduct events and to encourage good fellowship among members and their guests.
- Support and encourage the preservation and restoration of the Ducati marque.
- Promote riding in a safe and responsible manner in order to enhance the enjoyment to others of the Ducati riding experience.
