There will be a huge array of things to see and do\, including a fab show and shine in the Town Hall\, exhibitors\, food\, entertainment etc – plus a massive array of parked bikes to ogle at. \nWe will leave at 8.15am to make sure we stay in front of the likely large charity riding group that will depart from Midland Gate at 9am. \nFull details of the Festival can be found on the event website (link below). DESCRIPTION:Hi all\nAs we recently advised\, the DOCWA AGM was rescheduled from 3 July to 17 July to clear COVID distancing restrictions. Good news. It looks like we are in the clear now!\nHere are the meeting details:\n\n\nDate: Saturday\, 17th July 2021.\nTime: 6.00pm for 6.30pm start\nWhere: Belmont Sports and Recreation Club – 400 Abernethy Road Cloverdale\n\n\nTo recap\, the main purpose of the AGM is presentation of full year reports\, dissolving the current committee and re-establishing a new one for 21/22. So if you are interested in getting more involved in the running of the club please feel free to nominate for any of the committee positions.\n\n\nThe Constitution details the roles of the Executive Officers if any of these are of interest to you. We have previously advised that the incumbent Secretary and Treasurer are not intending to re nominate.\n\n\nYou can also give any member of the current committee a call too and they will be happy to explain what the role entails.\n\n\nRSVP. Please let us know\, by return email\, if you plan to attend (for catering purposes). If you can’t attend please also advise this so your apology can be recorded.\n\n\nMembership renewals. Lastly – apart from being a key social event\, the AGM is our key milestone for membership renewals.\n\n\nThis is especially important for members with 404 concessionally licenced bikes to ensure you remain eligible for the concession.\n\n\nFor those members who have already renewed – many thanks! Members only \n \nRide Captain Pres. \n\nClub Ride – Sunday 3 October 2021. Departing Caltex Midvale (Great Eastern highway) at 8.30am.\n\nThis ride is going to one of DOCWA’s founding and life members – Tom (Toad).  Toad has an unbelievable collection of motorcycles (and stories).\nTake a look at The Bike Shed Times’ story about his collection (https://www.bikeshedtimes.com/the-man-they-call-toad-and-his-lifetime-collection-of-bikes-that-no-one-wanted/)\nIt’s not going to take too long to get to Toad’s place and he’ll put on a morning tea for us (that the Club will fund).\nThis is a perfect ride for all bike types and is absolutely old bike (404) friendly.\nOne we manage to pry ourselves away from Toad’s collection (and depending on the time) Ride Captain Macca may press on and we’ll have lunch somewhere. But if you want to head home from there then no problems.\nWe don’t often get the chance to meet the people instrumental in DOCWA’s creation. So a cracking turnout would be fantastic! And let’s hope the bloody rain stays away!

DESCRIPTION:A great event over the weekend Further details to follow \n \nCome along and view this excellent spectacle.\nALBANY VINTAGE & CLASSIC MOTORCYCLE WEEKEND\nSATURDAY\, NOVEMBER 6\, 2021 and SUNDAY\, NOVEMBER 7\, 2021\nThe format for our premier Club event will be basically the same as last year. The Sunday Hill Climb is starting at\nFlinders Parade\, Middleton Beach. The run lasts for 1.1km up Marine Drive.\nWe are lucky enough to be again using the facilities of the Albany Rifle Club\, (just past the turn-off to the Wind-Farm\,\nFrenchmans Bay Road) for the weekend.\nIt has a clean kitchen\, hot showers and toilets facilities available. Camping is available at the Rifle Club for\n$10.00 PER HEAD PER NIGHT – no need to book\, but you need to pay with a smile on your face\, SOMEONE\nWILL COLLECT YOUR MONEY. There is also a bar on-site.\nMotorcycle Display on the Saturday morning\nStirling Terrace will be closed for non-motorcycle traffic as a safety precaution and as usual the line-up of bikes\nshould be most interesting. There will also be 2021 Hill Climb metal badges available on the day of the hillclimb.\nSaturday Afternoon Rally (Raffle)\nThis will be in the form of a raffle.Entries will only be taken on Stirling Terrace\, Saturday morning. There will be no\nprior entries. The rally is suitable for all motorcycles\, no matter what size or age. Entries will close at 11.45 am and the\nbriefing will take place in Stirling Terrace shortly afterwards. Bring your own BBQ packs.\nSunday Hillclimb\nThis Hillclimb is open to club members and members of other kindred clubs with a motorcycle license\,\nR-E and R for larger capacities and this should be carried with you. Helmets are compulsory and good motorcycle protective clothing as well as boots and gloves should be worn.\nAll motorcycles have to be in roadworthy condition\, any motorcycle deemed to be unsafe will be disqualified at\nthe discretionof the Course Marshall or Hillclimb Committee also no megaphones or excessively noisy bikes.\nTHE NEW VENUE IS IN A BUILT- UP AREA ANY EXCESSIVELY NOISY BIKES WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. The\nbike has to be capable of completing the Hillclimb in less than 2 minutes\, this is to ensure that there are no\noverly slow bikes\, but not less that 40 seconds. Any runs under 40 seconds will result in one warning\, then disqualification from the rest of the event. The bike must also be pre-1980. The first 100 entries will be accepted.\nOne entry per rider\, and the committee have the right to refuse any entry and full monies will be refunded.
