SUMMARY:Scotty's Brunch Ride - Return of the Vroom Vroom
DESCRIPTION:Greetings fellow throttle jockeys\nAfter the roaring success of the DOCWA AGM (where no one got lost and most had vacated the pub by 10pm)\, it’s time to dust off the bikes and maybe get out your wet weather gear — Scotty’s Brunch Ride is back this Sunday\, 20th July!\nNow\, before you get too excited and start polishing your helmet: this ride is weather-dependent. The forecast is threatening us with anywhere from 6mm to a full-on biblical 20mm of rain. I’ll be doing my best weather wizard impersonation and will make the official GO / NO-GO call on Saturday afternoon. All pray to the motorcycle gods of the sunny skies and dry roads.\n Stands up : 8:45am sharp – please don’t be late Location: Our trusty launch pad — the Ascot BP Brunch Stop: Booked for 10:00am at a top-secret* new location (*not really secret\, but it sounds much cooler this way) Total Distance: About 150km\, split into two tasty chunks of tarmacThe Scenic Ramble with Food at the EndWe’ll meander through the eastern suburbs\, zoom up Helena Valley\, vibe through Darlington\, and glide along the twisty bits of Mundaring Weir Road. Then it’s up Paul’s Valley (he’s cool with it)\, followed by a well-earned coffee + brunch stop in Carmel — where bacon\, eggs and caffeine await.Still got fuel in the tank ?We’ll keep rolling through Canning Mills Road to Karragullen\, past Canning Dam (wave at the ducks)\, down Albany Hwy (short but sweet)\, and loop back around Kemscott and Churchman’s Brook.Final stop: The Last Drop in Lizzie\, where a well-deserved pint may mysteriously appear in your hand.So bring your bike\, your appetite\, and your best rain dance (just in case) — see you Sunday!
