DESCRIPTION:A great event over the weekend Further details to follow \n \nCome along and view this excellent spectacle.\nALBANY VINTAGE & CLASSIC MOTORCYCLE WEEKEND\nSATURDAY\, NOVEMBER 6\, 2021 and SUNDAY\, NOVEMBER 7\, 2021\nThe format for our premier Club event will be basically the same as last year. The Sunday Hill Climb is starting at\nFlinders Parade\, Middleton Beach. The run lasts for 1.1km up Marine Drive.\nWe are lucky enough to be again using the facilities of the Albany Rifle Club\, (just past the turn-off to the Wind-Farm\,\nFrenchmans Bay Road) for the weekend.\nIt has a clean kitchen\, hot showers and toilets facilities available. Camping is available at the Rifle Club for\n$10.00 PER HEAD PER NIGHT – no need to book\, but you need to pay with a smile on your face\, SOMEONE\nWILL COLLECT YOUR MONEY. There is also a bar on-site.\nMotorcycle Display on the Saturday morning\nStirling Terrace will be closed for non-motorcycle traffic as a safety precaution and as usual the line-up of bikes\nshould be most interesting. There will also be 2021 Hill Climb metal badges available on the day of the hillclimb.\nSaturday Afternoon Rally (Raffle)\nThis will be in the form of a raffle.Entries will only be taken on Stirling Terrace\, Saturday morning. There will be no\nprior entries. The rally is suitable for all motorcycles\, no matter what size or age. Entries will close at 11.45 am and the\nbriefing will take place in Stirling Terrace shortly afterwards. The first bike will be away at the end of the briefing.Entry\nfor the rally is $25 per person.\nFirst prize is $550 cash plus second and third prizes.\nThe rally is open to any person with a road licensed motorcycle and a current license to ride.\nPillions may also enter. The cost is also $25.\nThis year the rally will finish at the Albany Rifle Club with afternoon tea again donated by Dylan’s on the Terrace.\nThanks Morris and Gwen.\nHelp is always needed early on Saturday morning to secure and set up StirlingTerrace\, so come along from 6 am.\nPrizes will be presented at the Trophy presentation after the Hillclimb on Sunday\nSaturday evening\nThis year’s meal will not be catered for. Bring your own BBQ packs.\nSunday Hillclimb\nThis Hillclimb is open to club members and members of other kindred clubs with a motorcycle license\,\nR-E and R for larger capacities and this should be carried with you. Helmets are compulsory and good motorcycle protective clothing as well as boots and gloves should be worn.\nAll motorcycles have to be in roadworthy condition\, any motorcycle deemed to be unsafe will be disqualified at\nthe discretionof the Course Marshall or Hillclimb Committee also no megaphones or excessively noisy bikes.\nTHE NEW VENUE IS IN A BUILT- UP AREA ANY EXCESSIVELY NOISY BIKES WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. The\nbike has to be capable of completing the Hillclimb in less than 2 minutes\, this is to ensure that there are no\noverly slow bikes\, but not less that 40 seconds. Any runs under 40 seconds will result in one warning\, then disqualification from the rest of the event. The bike must also be pre-1980. The first 100 entries will be accepted.\nOne entry per rider\, and the committee have the right to refuse any entry and full monies will be refunded. Entry\nfee is $70.\nThe above license and bike restrictions are to comform with insurance and smooth running on the day.\nThe Pit Area this year will be on Adelaide Crescent and Flinders Parade.\nYou’ll be directed by the Club Marshalls where to park.\nIt’s quite an open area so be prepared.\nAs always help to erect the course early (5.30 am) on the Sunday morning is appreciated.\nRIDERS MUST BE AT MIDDLETON BEACH BEFORE 7 AM\nRIDERS BRIEFING WILL BE AT 7.30 AM\nIf you are late you could make the whole event late.\nThe Hillclimb will take the same format as previous years.\nThree groups\, each rider is expected to have a practice run at 8 am.\nMain event start at completion of practice run.\nEnquiries: email: albany.hillclimb@gmail.com or ring:\nBob Whittingstall0418 944 437 or Kim Thompson 0409 080 31\n\n\nGroup 1 is leaving Friday lunch time please PM me for details.
